Riverwalk Estate Stages 1 – 4

 Client: Excell Gray Bruni, Vicurban

Value: $1,500,000

 

As part of Vicurbans Riverwalk development IGA Civil was engaged by the Head Contractor Excell Gray Bruni to undertake all earthworks associated with the development.  The project was split up into two sections.

Section 1 – Placement of 135,000m3 of imported fill on Stage 1A and 1B of the Riverwalk development.

Section 2 – Excavation of the Alfred Road Drain Stage 6 & 7 a Large Melbourne Water Drainage Channel 1.6km Long, 20m Wide, and 6m deep, at the deepest point.

                  Cut / Fill of 115,000m3.

 

 

 

Past Project

Hacketts Road,Point Cook

Between Sneydes Road & Dunnings Road.

Client: City Of Wyndham

Value: $1.8 Million

 

IGA Civil undertook the reconstruction of Hacketts Road , it involved the construction of 1.40km of Road 12m Wide with Kerb & Channel both sides.  The project also included associated works such as drainage, concrete islands, signage, lighting, and landscaping works.  The project was completed in April 2011 on time and within Budget. 

 

 

 

Pretty Sally Earthworks Project
Client: Yarra Valley Water
Value: $600,000

The objectives of the project was to carry out all earthworks and drainage works required to remove a section of southern embankment to ensure the dam cannot hold any water and therefore render the dam decommissioned.  The other objective was to prepare foundation pads for the future construction of the proposed new tanks.
The project involved the excavation of approximately 21,000m3 of material from the southern dam wall and placing the material as controlled fill on the base of the old dam, which will be used as the foundations of the new tanks.  The works were also extended to the design and construction of a 200m permanent access road leading into the proposed tank site.
This project was also entered into Civil Contractors Federation Earth Awards.

Wollert Earthworks & Retarding Basin Construction
Client: Yarra Valley Water
Value: $800,000

The project involved the excavation of 25,000m3 of excavation for the purpose of constructing four ten mega litre tanks into the existing hill side for Yarra Valley Water.  Part of the project involved the construction of a 1.7km Access road into the site.  The project also involved the design and construction of a 10,000m3 retarding basin on behalf of Yarra Valley Water.

Wallara Waters Stage 1 & 2
Client: Akron Roads, Australand
Value $700,000

IGA Civil was appointed by Akron roads to undertake all the earthworks for the Wallara Waters Development.  The project included the excavation of 80,000m3 solid, filling and compaction of the main boulevard, road boxing, filling of the allotments, and the excavation of a wetlands approx 35,000m3 solid.

Werribee Race Course Redevelopment
Client: Victorian Racing Association, Akron Roads.


The project involved the redevelopment of the whole Werribee Race Course, IGA civil was engaged by the head contractor Akron Roads to undertake all the earthworks for the project.  The project required 30,000m3 of cut and 7000m3 of fill, subgrade preperation, construction of ambulance track, as well as a large dam which involved the excavation of 15,000m3 solid.

T2A – Toll Holdings Kororiot Creek Road Development 2.5 Million.
Client: Fulton Hogan, Toll Holdings.
Value: $2.5 Million

IGA Civil was appointed by Fulton Hogan to undertake all the earthworks for the Toll Holding Kororoit Creek Road Development.  The project involved 26,000m3 of cut to fill, as well as the preparation of 16,500m2 area for the proposed factory slab.  Within this development IGA was also appointed to construct a Melbourne Water Creek that passed directly through the development.  This involved the removal of 30,000m3 of material in rock conditions, all constructed under existing live creek conditions.  All Melbourne Water and EPA requirements were strictly adhered to and monitored during this project.
